The pre-cleaned paddy, dried to a moisture content of 13 - 14%, is conveyed to the rice mill from the paddy day bin via a belt conveyor.

The paddy is discharged into the intake hopper and conveyed by an elevator to the aspirator, where final impurities are removed.

The impurities are bagged off on bagging benches.

The cleaned paddy flows through a magnet, retaining iron particles. Stones and mud balls are removed afterwards by (a) dry-stoner(s).

An intake weigher controls the paddy quantity.
