GRADING & SIFTING SECTION
FLOW DESCRIPTION

A painsifter divides the white rice into four fractions:

  1. head rice
  2. a mixture of head rice and brokens (1/1 + 1/2 to 3/4)
  3. 1/4 - 1/2 brokens
  4. fine brokens and tips

Plansifter PLS

Plansifters are available with 2-, 4-, 6- and 8 screen boxes. They ensure a high capacity on the smallest floor area for many applications.

The fine brokens are bagged off. The 1/4 to 1/2 brokens are bagged off or conveyed into a silo - depending on the size of the mill. The mixture of head rice and brokens is separated by a(n) indented cylinder(s) into 1/2 to 3/4 brokens and head rice.

The broken rice is conveyed by an elevator into a silo.

The head rice is separated by the indented cylinder(s) and the separated head rice of the plansifter is conveyed into the polishing section.

Indented Cylinder Unit

Length grading is performed on indented cylinders with a high degree of precision.
They are available as single or multiple cylinder units.
The cylinders are made out of special steel plates with pressed-in-pockets.

Centrifugal Sifting Maching WSM

They are widely used for the separation of powdery from granular material as well as control sleves.
